I am a parent with independent children who have become:- doctor, a teacher/computer net-worker. My husband and I have travelled extensively and visited over 52 different countries. I enjoy renovating, and finished upgrading one of the first houses in Clovelly Park. Furthermore, my hobbies include outdoor activities, cooking, mainly creating new dishes. I love reading and hope one day to complete a novel! I also dialogue with overseas students to assist with speaking English online. Most importantly, see this generation of young people find success in a world that has become over competitive, unsupportive, anxious and time poor.

Experience

I am an experienced registered tutor/ teacher of 25 years. My studies have given me a background in the many "learning styles," which I use for individual students. I derive much joy working on an individual basis with my students. Results verify, and research supports that better learning takes place with individual tutoring. My students become confident, aspiring to levels that once would have been unachievable. The key is building their confidence. It is reassuring when I hear that students have not only improved, but are now successful at tertiary level, or in an area that they dreamed of. It is very common today for students to have private tutoring, as class sizes have increased, special needs students are no longer allowed individual assistance. My results are testimony to their successes. This is why I love what I do. Many, doctors, nurses, teachers, business graduates are products of my tutoring. I am proud of them all.

Education

My degrees and experience have enabled me to teach overseas and around Australia. I studied in Melbourne, where I trained as a Primary /Secondary teacher - BA /Diploma/Primary and Secondary. My studies continued when I moved to Adelaide. I studied, B Ed, Post Graduate studies in Special Education, Masters, Leadership and Masters of Curriculum/Diversity in the classroom. I have been in leadership roles. Principal/ Deputy Principal, Head of English and Year Level Co-ordinator. I taught in both private and department schools. The majority of my teaching has been in secondary. Although, in 2016 I taught conversational English to (new arrivals ) with (Department of Education and Child Development). Having an overview, and experience in all year levels has given me a better insight into teaching.
